What a gem of a book Philemon is.

A story of true friendship between the apostle Paul and Philemon and how friends in Christ are to respond to each other and hold each other accountable in very difficult situations. Paul gives us a glimpse into how a real friend nurtures one in the ways of the lord, until Godly maturity has taken root and the resolve now exists to trust God and move towards doing the right thing.

This book also gives us a glimpse of the tactful art of negotiation that Jewish people are so known for. A real lesson for anyone who needs to glean wisdom for diplomatic resolutions to problems. Humorous at times, but ever piercing with the truth that needs to be brought to remembrance when dealing with difficult circumstances.

The transforming work of the Holy Spirit, when He takes up residences in your spirit, can accomplish things that you know within yourself, are not possible on your own accord.
